Charles Duncan entered
the investigations field in post-Korean War days with the elite U.S. Army
Security Agency. He operated with a top secret security clearance in
highly classified documentation, investigative and communications areas.
His more than
35 years investigative experience includes researching, investigating and producing numerous television reports for ABC News and the highly acclaimed ABC
affiliate in Dallas, Texas. Charles was secretly brought into a U.S.
Customs sting operation that lasted more than two years and resulted
in the arrest of a British arms smuggler who was selling missiles to
both sides of the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980's.
Charles was included in a Florida State Police gambling investigation
in Tampa and secretly video taped a meeting between members of the Cuban
mafia and undercover operatives.
Charles visually documented to the nation that security was so lax at
the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserves in Louisiana that our national
security was at risk.
His lengthy investigation at Kelly Air Force Base
in San Antonio uncovered dozens of security breaches, dangerous working
conditions and blatant discrimination. The Defense Department ordered
the problems be corrected after transferring the commanding general
to a remote base in Alaska.
Two prestigious DuPont Columbia awards were received by Charles in New
York City. His peers recognized his investigations twice with the top
award from I.R.E., the Investigative Reporters and Editors organization.
Charles' reports were also named best by the National Headliners Club,
Associated Press, United Press International, the Texas Headliners Club
and the Dallas Press Club. The national Edward R. Murrow Award was presented
to Charles by RTNDA, the Radio and Television News Directors Association.
Hundreds of investigations were conducted by Charles after he obtained
his Texas Private Investigator's license in 1989. Sources have been
developed in almost all walks of life allowing him to solve a wide variety
of cases including numerous domestic investigations, medical malpractice,
cults, illegal midwives, illegal toxic wastes, corruption in the Fort
Worth School District, political investigations, real estate frauds,
and the failure by city officials to enforce health codes in food service
establishments in Dallas and Wichita, Kansas.
Adoption cases have become a specialty. In the last 18 months, Charles has located several birth mothers after 25 to 30 years separation from their sons or daughters. A proprietary technique involves a search that often leads directly to the birth mother or to the adoptee.
